“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Help for Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine

The escalating humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and regions accepting and helping millions of refugees has left many of us seeking ways to directly help. ELCA's Lutheran Disaster Response is hard at work to alleviate suffering and provide much needed support to the people of Ukraine and those in Eastern Europe who have rushed to aid the Ukrainian people. You may donate online to assist in their efforts at https://community.elca.org/eastern-europe-crisis-response?_ga=2.266466318.1699478920.1646717665-1017767480.1646717665.

Thank you for supporting these people in crisis. Your prayers and contributions are deeply appreciated.

Also … February Is Thankoffering Month! First of all, a huge THANK YOU to the many of you St. Mark’s members who have generously supported our Thankofferings each past February to benefit Women of the ELCA. Unfortunately, this year the pandemic is preventing us from taking up a special offering during our services to celebrate Thankoffering Sunday as we have in the past. Click HERE for information from our WELCA webpage on how you can donate to help sustain the Women of the ELCA—and thank you again!

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE DURING THIS SPECIAL TIME …

Dear Friends in Christ,

At the risk of repeating the obvious, these are unprecedented times. Such times can test our Faith to the core, and it is not unreasonable to ask, “Where is God?”

The good news is that we do not have to look too far to find His presence! The Holy Spirit abounds amongst us. We are rapidly rolling out new online worship opportunities; we are continuing to feed the less fortunate in our community; and our Visitation Ministry has never been stronger or more focused even as we transition from personal visits to phone conversations. Rest assured that God has a plan. Please continue to support the ministries of St. Mark’s through your prayers, your personal involvement (where safety guidelines permit), and your financial contributions. Your continued financial support during these challenging times is absolutely vital.

You can mail in your offerings to the church office—these offerings will be placed in the offering tray for Sunday worship and dedicated just as we regularly do at St. Mark’s. You can also give online by clicking HERE or you can sign up for recurring electronic giving by clicking HERE to access the form. Simply fill it out and return it to the church office either in the mail or as an email attachment.

God Bless You All.
